This post is a review of current pink lipsticks & glosses that recently I have really been using. After seeing a few bloggers with some fabulous bright pink lipsticks I decided to create this post....
My four favourite lipsticks of the moment are above (l to r)
Collection 2000 - Bubblegum
L'Oreal Colour Riche - Burning Rose
No 7 Stay Perfect - Classic Rose
Elizabeth Arden - Blush
The No.7 colour is a more neutral pink, this gives a slight flushed look to the lips, prefect for everyday wear.
The Elizabeth Arden - Blush, has a bright pink hue. This really seems to have a moisturising effect, not only does it add a great vivid colour, but in my opinion nearly has the same effect as the 'Eight Hour Lip Cream' after wearing it for a day!
The L'Oreal colour was the suggested colour for blondes. It has a sparkle to it that adds shine and lustre, but is a slightly redder pink than the other colours. I have found that this really lasts a long time on the lips, however, it is actually quite hard to remove, and even the day after wearing a little colour seems to stain the lips after a days wear.
My favourite pink lipstick!! The Collection 2000 Bubblegum colour! At only £2.99, it has fabulous consistency for the price and although it needs reapplying after drinking and eating at £2.99 I can reapply all I like!
Moving on to the glosses, I have included a range from Vaseline to Lancome...
From left to right:
Vaseline - Rosy lips
Clinique Long Last Glosswear - Kissy Fit
Lancome - Juicy Tubes
Clinique, Superbalm Moisturising Gloss - 01 Apricot
The Vaseline is a handbag staple, not only do I apply it to lips for a smooth gloss look, but also to cheeks to create a dewy rosy colour. The Clinique gloss wear, although wonderfully glossy and a really nice raspberry pink colour, can tend to end up slightly sticky on the lips when wearing rather than glossy. 'Juicy Tubes' by Lancome, are a more translucent colouring, the 'Juicy Tubes' are more for a natural gloss look for everyday rather than a splash of vibrant pink colour. Finally, the second Clinique sample, the moisturising gloss includes an SPF factor 10! Once again, I find the Clinique glosses slightly sticky, but the more peachy tone is excellent for an every day colour!
What pinks do you prefer?
